Adding an interface alias
You can use the Add Alias dialog box to create an alias, which is an alternate IP address for an interface, when you change the IP address of an interface to a new address. You can use the alias to continue accepting packets to the old IP address. You cannot add an alias to a physical VLAN.
Steps
1.
From the Home tab, double-click the appropriate storage system to display a subtree of management features.
2.
Click Configuration > Network > Interfaces.
3.
Click Edit.
4.
Click the Advanced tab.
5.
Click Add.
6.
Type the IP address and a subnet mask of the alias and click OK.
